Update from Scraps in Westport CT

Scraps at the US Open, sorry I didn't get a better piture. We were so tired that night.

Scraps flying on a pig at a ribs restaurant near Grand Central Station. We can't remember the name of the place. Rob's ribs? Bob's ribs?

Scraps at Central Park snack stand. We really wanted a picture of him with the park in the background, but there were no signs that said Central Park that we could find. I should have just taken one anyways, but by the time I decided that I should have it was too late.

Scraps at the Met again, with a huge sculpture of a balloon dog

Scraps at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (the Museum at the edge of Central Park)

Scraps with Johnny (Ed's cousin Cindy's son) eating an unidentified substance. Tuna perhaps?

Pumba Arrives In Arkansas!

Just wanted to let you know the Pumba arrived safe and sound this morning at gate #25 (OK, PO Box, but gate is cuter). His luggage was too big for the regular delivery gate. :) He was a bit shy at first when he came out to meet everyone, but then again, Vicky, my coworker, was snapping pictures at the poor little fellow. So far today, he has helped me install some speakers, replace 2 computers and then he sat in the Genealogy Department with his new baby-sitter, Diana. She said she would see what she could do to help Pumba do a little family research. If anyone can, it'd be Diana. She is great at digging up a family's interesting history. He also went with Vicky & me to one of our branches to work on some things and we figured out that there was a built-in "Pumba-sized" child seat built right into the dash. We took some more pictures of him all safe and snug in the van.He has also met several of my coworkers and will meet some more of them tonight. He made it here just in time for our annual "end of summer survival" celebration party. There will be dinner and dessert and fun all around. (I'm not going to let him see the dinner though, they ordered barbeque and that might be too much for him on his first day).So far, there have been multiple offers and ideas on how to keep young Master Pumba entertained during his visit. I think he has planned to go on a motorcycle ride with Sharon and Diana has volunteered to help him learn to look things up on the computer. I will be taking him down to the historical site and getting his picture there too. My oldest son is going to take him skateboarding. I really think he will have some fun while he is here. Thank you for entrusting me, my friends and my family with his care and entertainment. You won't be sorry, I promise.
Cheers -- Angela

They're Off!

I'm starting a project for my niece's birthday next year. It is an album of travels of the "Five Little Pigs Family". I have 5 stuffed pigs: Scraps, Pumba, Percy, Jasmine & one yet to be named. The pigs will be flying all over the world & their hosts will take a picture of the pig in their favorite local spots! Then send the pig, a note, & picture (or e-mail pictures) back to me! I know that my niece will be thrilled to get this for her birthday next year & hopefully she'll learn about geography too!

The pigs are off on their adventures!!!

Scraps is already on vacation with the Simpkins family in Maine!

Percy is off to visit Angela in Arkansas!

Pumba is off to visit Lindsey in Texas!

Little Jasmine is on her way to visit Emma in Australia! Lucky her!
