Just wanted to let you know the Pumba arrived safe and sound this morning at gate #25 (OK, PO Box, but gate is cuter). His luggage was too big for the regular delivery gate. :) He was a bit shy at first when he came out to meet everyone, but then again, Vicky, my coworker, was snapping pictures at the poor little fellow. So far today, he has helped me install some speakers, replace 2 computers and then he sat in the Genealogy Department with his new baby-sitter, Diana. She said she would see what she could do to help Pumba do a little family research. If anyone can, it'd be Diana. She is great at digging up a family's interesting history. He also went with Vicky & me to one of our branches to work on some things and we figured out that there was a built-in "Pumba-sized" child seat built right into the dash. We took some more pictures of him all safe and snug in the van.He has also met several of my coworkers and will meet some more of them tonight. He made it here just in time for our annual "end of summer survival" celebration party. There will be dinner and dessert and fun all around. (I'm not going to let him see the dinner though, they ordered barbeque and that might be too much for him on his first day).So far, there have been multiple offers and ideas on how to keep young Master Pumba entertained during his visit. I think he has planned to go on a motorcycle ride with Sharon and Diana has volunteered to help him learn to look things up on the computer. I will be taking him down to the historical site and getting his picture there too. My oldest son is going to take him skateboarding. I really think he will have some fun while he is here. Thank you for entrusting me, my friends and my family with his care and entertainment. You won't be sorry, I promise.
Cheers -- Angela
